Hudson YMCA Lifeguard and Swim Instructor
Hudson Pool Manager
I am a former Pool Manager from the Hudson Middle School Pool. As the pool monitor, I watched over all of the lifeguards and swim instructors at this pool. My main duties were scheduling staff to work during swim lessons, along with being a contact person for parents that may have concerns about their child's swim lessons. I was also responsible for hiring and firing staff throughout the year. I'm certified as a lifeguard and a swim instructor, along with AED, ADA, emergency oxygen, first-aid, bloodborne pathogens, and emergency Narcan.
I currently work at the Hudson YMCA as a lifeguard and a swim instructor. As a lifeguard, I watch over both pools that we have along with the hot tub. My main duties are to keep people safe, assist individuals when they are in need of help, perform rescues when needed, and perform first-aid when deemed fit. I'm certified as a lifeguard and a swim instructor, along with AED, ADA, oxygen, first-aid and bloodborne pathogens. I'm also a swim instructor, my duties are to teach children how to swim in a safe and fun environment, in both group and private lessons.
Duluth YMCA Kids Club
I worked in the YMCA Kids Club as a day care provider, or child supervisor. I'm also a party attendant, and a certified lifeguard. As a child care supervisor, we also prep crafts, prepare the childrens snacks, check children in and out of the day care, and make sure that children go home with the right parent. I've been with the YMCA since March 2015.
Augsburg College Tour Guide
I was an Augsburg Tour Guide, for perspective students who are interested in Augsburg College. I held an hour tour of the campus where I showed students every building and a dorm room for those who wanted to live on campus. I started this job in September 2015 as a work study job, and quit December 2015.
Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark
I worked at the Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark from June 2014 to August 2015. I worked in the laundry and house keeping department, along with being a certified lifeguard, outdoor movie attendant for our outdoor pool, an aracade attendant and a greeter who stood at the doors by the entrance of the waterpark folding towels. Also, I was a Waterpark Guest Service, so if guests had questions they could ask me or I could point them to someone who might be able to help them.
Arrowhead Youth Soccer Association Referee
I was a certified Grade 7 and Grade 8 soccer referee from May 2009 until September 2014. I was in charge of keeping soccer games safe for coaches, players, families, spectators, and myself. I had the power to stop games due to weather, time, and parents or coaches behaviors.
